Ochsner Medical Center is a leading healthcare provider seeking an experienced Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and certified technologist to work in our Nuclear Medicine department. As a Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to nuclear medicine procedures, including patient preparation, image acquisition, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including PET/CT scans, SPECT scans, and other imaging modalities.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process, administering medications, and positioning patients for optimal imaging.
  • Analyze images and data to identify abnormalities and diagnose conditions.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret results and develop treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of patient information and test results.
Requirements:
  • ARRT(N)(RT) or NMTCB certification required.
  • Valid state license and NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start date.
  • Must have an active LA License or Compact License upon submission.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
