In this dynamic role, you will serve as a Public Safety Officer at Vail Resorts. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and security of guests, residents, and employees in the Bachelor Gulch area.

About the Job

The Public Safety Officer position involves conducting Village patrols, which include general security checks, owner and guest assistance, traffic control, and incident response. You will also be responsible for enforcing all Village Association, Metropolitan District, and Design Review Administration rules and regulations.

You will provide exceptional service to owners, guests, and other Village access users, particularly while working at the gate. Timely and concise documentation of Village events is also a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist guests, residents, and employees with vehicle pull-outs, jump starts, intrusion alarms, motor vehicle accidents, and lockouts.
  • Greet guests and owners while working the entrance gate.
  • Multitask guest walk-ins, phone calls, entrance gate, and dispatch.
  • Troubleshoot owner automated access systems.
  • Respond to Fire and Medical emergencies.
  • Cooperate with local Emergency Responders.
  • Properly document and notify management of all incidents.
  • Ensure professional and safe handling of Bachelor Gulch Public Safety vehicles.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with internal customers.
  • Attend and implement all department trainings.
  • Follow department Standard Operating Guidelines and Corporate Policies.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace where communication is key.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with a Vail Resorts Public Safety Department.
  • Some experience preferred.
  • Valid US Driver's License.
  • Proficient computer/typing skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or obtain it).
Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $21.00 - $23.73 per hour. Compensation decisions are based on various factors.
