Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at North Shore Medical Center. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and services to patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate, administer, and monitor modalities of respiratory therapy for patients of all ages.
  • Administer and monitor mechanical ventilation for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients.
  • Document and chart all therapy according to protocol.
  • Perform all respiratory modalities for the comfort and well-being of patients.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and other disciplines to facilitate patient care.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional, supportive attitude.
Requirements:
  • Current State of Florida License as a Certified Respiratory Therapist, CRT or RRT.
  • BLS and ACLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Minimum of one year clinical experience in respiratory care at a TJC-accredited hospital.
  • Broad knowledge of pediatrics through geriatric respiratory care, including therapeutics and diagnostics.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
