We are seeking an experienced and energetic Lead Pre-K Teacher to join our collaborative classroom at Rowe Early Learning Center in Norway. This position is 40 hours, following a school-year calendar.

Job Overview

As a Lead Educator, you will be responsible for leading a high-quality preschool classroom team and planning activities tailored to meet children's social, emotional, physical, literacy, and cognitive development.

This role requires strong communication skills to support families in meeting their children's needs and working with management to maintain Head Start Performance Standards and Licensing requirements.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $21.51-22.50 per hour, with opportunities for additional monthly wage supplements through the State of Maine Early Childhood Educator Workforce Salary Supplement Program.

You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, short and long-term disability, accident, critical illness & hospital indemnity, paid time off (up to 18 days), and 13 paid holidays per year.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • a minimum of an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field;
  • bachelor's degree preferred;
  • a minimum of three years of supervisory experience; and
  • a minimum of five years of experience in early care and education.

You will also need excellent communication skills, ability to lead and motivate others, and competency with Microsoft Office.

Additional Requirements

Successful candidates must also possess the ability to function autonomously and as part of a team, considerable stamina to regularly lift, bend, carry, and perform other high-energy activities, and be willing to obtain Ed. Tech. II Certification and current CPR and First Aid certifications.
