Job Summary

The Senior Accountant, Corporate will play a key role in closing the Corporate General Ledger and producing monthly financial statements for the corporate entity.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the Corporate General Ledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare general ledger entries and support the monthly close process.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to analyze and present financial data.
  • Assist in preparing the quarterly Board of Directors' and monthly Leadership Committee financial reports.
  • Perform budget to actual variance analysis and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Reconcile bank and other general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Update budgets and forecasts for non-operating expenses.
  • Review and reconcile development/construction draw activities and record related entries to the general ledger.
  • Ensure all reimbursable expenses are properly billed and collected monthly.
  • Reconcile intra and intercompany balances.
  • Maintain and update the fixed assets sub-ledger.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in accounting and financial reporting.
Requirements
  • Four plus (4+) years of experience in accounting, with a focus on corporate financial reporting.
  • Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills, with the ability to develop and maintain complex financial models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and present financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in Yardi and SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (Outlooksoft) is a plus.
