We are currently seeking an experienced Communication Specialist to join our team and support students across multiple school districts in Illinois.

About the Role

As a Communication Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assessing and treating students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and providing direct therapy to students using evidence-based practices.

You will also work closely with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into students' educational programs. Additionally, you will track and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and educate students, families, and school staff on strategies to improve communication skills.

We are looking for an individual with a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a valid Illinois state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. A Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Experience in a school setting is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech and language abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students using evidence-based practices
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into students' educational programs
  • Track and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Illinois state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred)
  • Experience in a school setting (highly desirable)
