Job Title: Construction Project Lead

About the Job:

The Middlesex Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Lead to oversee construction efforts and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage teams effectively.

Salary:$120,000 - $150,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including coordination with the Estimating Department.
  • Review project features and submit preliminary paperwork, including submittals and introductory letters.
  • Maintain a submittal log, project organization chart, and material storage plan.
  • Coordinate project startup and closeout processes, including submitting reports to the construction department.
  • Manage project budgets and cost revisions, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
  • Submit change order logs to the regional office monthly and coordinate with the Project Superintendent/General Superintendent to ensure job continuity.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with project stakeholders and prepare periodic estimates for review.
  • Attend final punch list inspections and closeout meetings to complete final documents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in civil construction, with a strong focus on budget management, schedule control, and quality assurance.
  • OSHA 10 certification and excellent communication skills.
