Job Summary

As a key member of our team at The Building People, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of government accounting and financial records. This includes assisting in the processing of accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and various journals and ledgers, as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process financial entries and adjustments to the general ledger
  • Prepare management reports as assigned
  • Assist government personnel with the creation, receiving, and processing of invoices submittals
  • Reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank records, and statements
Requirements

We are seeking an individual with strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, as well as experience in payroll functions and processing. The ideal candidate will also have basic knowledge of budget preparation, audit functions, and customer service principles.

Additionally, proficiency in modern office practices, methods, and computer equipment, including relevant software programs, is required. The ability to operate office equipment, such as personal computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, voicemail, and e-mail systems, is also essential.
