Dental Assistant

Aspen Medical seeks a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team in providing medical services to UN sponsored Kenyan Peacekeepers and US Government staff at a field hospital in Haiti.
This is a deployed, rotational contract with a 3 month on, 1 month off rotation cycle.
The team will be based in a secure, purpose-built camp and hospital facility in Port au Prince, Haiti, and all service delivery requirements will be conducted within the confines of that facility.
All support services are being provided by the US Government, including camp facilities and basic life support requirements, including travel, meals, accommodation, internet, and other ancillary support services.
Aspen Medical will provide a Level 2 Field Hospital with EMS, Pre-Hospital Care, Surgical, Diagnostic and Laboratory, and other ancillary services.
All clinic service delivery services will be provided in accordance with US clinical standards and compliance measures.
Citizenship Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder.
Education Requirements:
- Certificate or Associate's degree as a Dental Assistant from an accredited dental assisting program.
Certification Requirements:
- Expanded Functions Dental Assisting (EFDA) Dental Assistant certification and x-ray certification or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification from the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) is highly desired.
License Requirements:
- If required by state of licensure, candidate must possess a current, valid and unrestricted license/registration in one of the U.S. states, territories, commonwealths, or the District of Columbia.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of two (2) years of recent, proven experience as a dental assistant.
Certification Requirements:
- Current, valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Language Proficiency:
- Fluency in Haitian Creole and/or French is highly desired.
- A secondary language is preferred.
This position will be a 1099 contractor, with a fixed daily rate while on rotation. You will not receive pay while off rotation.
