La-Z-Boy Incorporated, a leading organization in the comfort industry, is seeking an experienced Interior Design Program Lead to join its team.

 

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, based on national averages and industry standards.

 

Job Description:

As an Interior Design Program Lead at La-Z-Boy Incorporated, you will be responsible for translating client needs into actionable design concepts, conducting insightful in-home consultations, and providing coaching and training to sales teams to improve design culture and performance.

 

This role requires a strong background in interior design, with 2-3 years of experience in residential design, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and computer-aided design programs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, analytical abilities, and goal orientation.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve or surpass store and individual sales goals, annual operating benchmarks, and personal objectives.
  • Promote the La-Z-Boy In-Home Design program and present customized portfolio presentations tailored to clients' requirements and preferences.
  • Create design concepts and digital presentations with finish selections, furnishings, and fixtures.
  • Schedule and conduct in-home consultations to understand clients' unique needs, preferences, and vision for their space.
  • Provide coaching, training, and support to sales teams to improve design culture, product knowledge, sales techniques, strategies, and overall in-home design performance.
  • Collaborate with support teams to ensure flawless execution of operational excellence.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in interior design, with a residential emphasis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, computer-aided design programs, financial understanding, adept interpersonal communication, analytical abilities, goal orientation, team management, and customer service.
  • Valid Driver's License.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate motor vehicle.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Nearly continuous use of repetitive hand motions, hearing and listening.
  • Often required to sit, walk, bend and stoop
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions
  • Ability to pass background and drug screen.
