MRI Technologist PRN

As an MRI Technologist PRN, you will be responsible for operating a scanner to obtain images used to diagnose and treat various pathologies. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities and Requirements- Prepare and position patients for MRI exams, ensuring accurate and safe scanning procedures.
- Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
- Enter and monitor patient data and transfer images to the PACS system.
- Administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to the PACS system.
- Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree or completion of a radiology or MRI certification program.
- No experience required.
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
- Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent lifting/moving of patients.
- Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors.
- Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Rare kneeling and sitting.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- ARRT-MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
This is a variable shift position, and the employee will be required to work a rotating schedule.
