CorVel Corporation is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Case Manager to join our team. As a Medical Case Manager, you will play a critical role in facilitating the recovery of injured workers and their families. Your responsibilities will include working closely with patients, medical providers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides medical case management services to individuals through in-person and telephonic communications.
  • Utilizes medical and nursing knowledge to discuss treatment plans with physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Evaluates treatment plans for appropriateness, medical necessity, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient progress.
  • Attends doctors' visits, hospital discharges, and other medical appointments as needed.
  • Develops and implements care plans, including negotiation of durable medical equipment and nursing services.
  • May require local travel up to 60% of the workweek/month and occasional overnight travel.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of operation.
  • Certification as a CCM, CIRS, or other case management certifications preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to assigned locations.
