Project Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering expertise and guidance to designers and design engineers, ensuring the mechanical portion of projects are technically sound, on schedule, and within cost. Key responsibilities will include developing and implementing design standards, preparing feasibility studies and equipment comparisons, and maintaining schedules and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement design standards for mechanical systems
- Prepare feasibility studies and equipment comparisons for packaging and production systems
- Maintain schedules and cost efficiency for projects
- Provide engineering expertise and guidance to designers and design engineers
- Collaborate with the Construction and Manufacturing Team to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements:
- Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited four-year program
- 2-5 years of experience in packaging and production systems and/or automated manufacturing systems
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and their capabilities and limitations
- Computer-aided design (CAD) skills preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:
The successful candidate will be required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations, and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.
