About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our team at MeriCal, a leading private-label and contract manufacturer of dietary supplements. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that all dietary supplement products comply with MeriCal's specifications and cGMPs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices [21 CFR Part 111, 117 & 211].
  • Perform inspections at multiple production stages and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct sampling (Analytical, Microbial, Customer, and Retains) and ensure appropriate testing methods are used.
  • Document test results, defective products, and corrective actions.
  • Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and provide guidance on corrective actions.
  • Verify Bill of Materials, ID tagging, and organization of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Enter quality data and verify expiration dates in ERP systems before release.
  • Conduct bulk and final product AQL inspections and review cleaning logs for line release.
  • Ensure proper hold procedures and alert management of any quality issues or unusual occurrences.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality-related environment, or a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field with 0-2 years of experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 25-30 lbs as needed.
  • Food Safety or Dietary Supplement experience is a plus.
