**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a Clinical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and coordinating with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.

About the Role:

This is a dynamic role that requires strong communication and organizational skills. You will work closely with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Your ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain accurate records will be essential in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
  • Evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
  • Audit medical record documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for each patient based on their specific needs and goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in electronic medical records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current RN licensure in New York State.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience is required.
  • Ability to improve job performance through continuing education.
  • Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques and demonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement.
