We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) nurse to join our team at Epic Travel Staffing. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Job SummaryThis travel CVICU nurse position offers the opportunity to work with critically ill patients requiring advanced cardiovascular care. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans, as well as collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
About the RoleIn this 13-week contract, you will work on the MHC - 2H-CVICU Cardiac ICU unit at a prestigious hospital. The shift is Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12x3, 36 hrs per week, with EOW --- 6 weekends (both Sat/Sun). To qualify, you must have a NC License, 2 years experience, BLS, and ACLS. SICU experience is preferred, as well as ECMO, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Sheath Removal, Transcatheter Aortic Valve implantation Replacement (TAVI TAVR), IV Insulin protocols, Chronic Acute Renal failure, and other specific skills listed below.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage complex cardiovascular conditions, including MI, CHF, cardiac surgeries, post cardiac cath, LVAD, Impella, IABP, Arctic Sun, renal failure CRRT, and respiratory failure
- Care for Medical Surgical Cardiac ICU patients with open heart surgical patients, AAA repair, Vascular surgeries, and ECMO
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, ensuring timely and effective communication with healthcare teams
- NC License
- 2 years experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- SICU experience preferred
- ECMO, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Sheath Removal, Transcatheter Aortic Valve implantation Replacement (TAVI TAVR) preferred
- IV Insulin protocols, Chronic Acute Renal failure preferred

The estimated weekly gross pay for this position is $2171 per week.
