About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and organized Cafeteria Assistant to join our team at Escambia County School System. This is a part-time position working 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, with a 185-day contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in meal preparation and service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the cafeteria and surrounding areas
  • Work collaboratively with staff to ensure student nutrition needs are met
  • Complete tasks assigned by the Child Nutrition Program Manager, Principal, and Child Nutrition Program Director
Requirements
  • Good general health
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Related experience
  • Must meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama statutes and State Board of Education regulations
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $30,000-$40,000 based on industry standards. The exact salary will be determined by the Board-Approved Salary Schedule.
