As a Customer Service Associate at Heart of Texas Goodwill Industries, Inc., you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting store operations. Job Description

  • ​Assist customers with finding items and answering questions in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Maintain display areas, including special displays, racks, shelves, bins, and other areas displaying items for sale.
  • Monitor and open dressing rooms and restrooms as needed.
  • Watch for theft and take necessary actions to prevent it.
  • Accept donations and direct donors to the donation area, preparing receipts as necessary.
  • Hang clothing in production when needed.
  • Clean areas of the store, including restrooms.
  • Put merchandise, including wares and clothing, out on the floor.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the ability to:



  • Read and understand written instructions and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Add and subtract two-digit numbers accurately.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently after completing company-specific training.
  • Lift and carry up to 100 pounds occasionally and regularly lift and carry 25 pounds.
  • Stand for up to eight hours a day, walk for up to eight hours per day, and use hands to handle or feel objects.
  • Have sufficient eyesight and manual dexterity to discriminate between and classify items.
  • Bend and twist frequently.
