Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Administrator to join our team at Building and Land Technology. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to work on delivering building projects of varying size and complexity.

About the Role

The Construction Project Administrator will be responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project administration, under the direction of a Project Manager. You will report to the Managing Director of Construction and be an integral member of the project team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend client meetings and assist with project requirements.
  • Assist the PM in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFPs, and preliminary schedules.
  • Prepare project organization and communication charts.
  • Request submittals from the trades, review for accuracy and track approvals.
  • Process RFIs and track approvals.
  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to ownership/client and project team.
  • Ensure ownership/clients' needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Assist the PM in the review of Contractor proposals to ensure that only fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval.
  • Prepare substantial completion certificates and ensure all required project close out documents are obtained.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience with project coordination/admin in a construction or real estate setting.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft office suite programs.
  • Familiarity with Project Management software like Procore a plus.
