Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sonographer to join our team at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital(WDH). As a Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Imaging Services department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures using various equipment and techniques to produce high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the examination.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper function and adhering to quality control standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an approved ultrasound training program.
  • Registry eligible (ARDMS) within 1 year.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make effective professional judgments and decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ARDMS certification.
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of ultrasound equipment and technology.
