Job Summary

Litehouse is seeking an experienced Industrial Instrumentation Specialist to join our team in Lowell, MI.

About the Role

This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of industrial instrumentation that record, indicate, control, and regulate level, flow, pressure, temperature, position, and water analysis. The successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance inspections, diagnose trouble, clean, lubricate, calibrate, and adjust metering control instruments as conditions indicate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Laying out, installing, and placing into service new metering, controlling, and recording devices, calibrating as required.
  • Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and specifications related to installations or major repair work.
  • Preparing and maintaining records, making verbal and written reports of work performed.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in controls & instrument technician work with 2 years in industrial instrumentation and controls. A valid state driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are also required.

Certification, associate degree or higher in automation and electronic systems, instrument and control systems, or industrial instrumentation is preferred. Knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits, mechanical linkage and telemetering systems, PLC and SCADA software and hardware, and electronic test equipment is essential.

Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary of $31.59/hr and requires the ability to work unusual or long hours, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will be physically capable of crawling into confined spaces, responding to chemical spills, or climbing ladders/stairs to reach high places wearing respiratory protection equipment.
