Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Specialist to join our team at Advocate Health. The successful candidate will provide anesthesia services to patients, including general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthesia to patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia functions, including reviewing patient medical history and conducting physical examinations.
  • Perform post-anesthesia duties, such as monitoring patients' vital signs and administering pain relief medication.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in departmental improvement processes and maintain knowledge of scientific theory and research findings.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and Nurse Anesthetist certification (CRNA) issued by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
  • Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license issued by the state in which team member practices, and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist and push/pull with 30 lbs. of force.
  • Will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, radiation, blood, and body fluids on a continuous basis.
