To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • To be up-to-date on all continuing medical education (CME) credits.
  • To hold a valid state license, if applicable.
  • To be extremely patient-focused, compassionate, and proficient in using computers.
  • To perform various technical tasks associated with screening and diagnostic mammography procedures.
  • To be flexible and able to multitask effectively.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms for breast cancer detection and lesion identification.
  • Ensuring the initial and ongoing success of the mammography service in your assigned practice.
  • Assisting the practice in encouraging eligible patients to undergo annual screening mammograms, particularly during the first 18 months after launch.
  • Preparing patients for the mammographic procedure and explaining the process to reduce anxiety and promote cooperation.
  • Moving mammographic equipment into position, adjusting controls, and setting exposure factors based on knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques and protocols.
  • Practicing radiation protection techniques by utilizing beam restrictive devices and patient shielding skills.
  • FOLLOWING PRESCRIBED SAFETY STANDARDS WHEN OPERATING REQUIRED EQUIPMENT.
  • Examining digital images for quality and ensuring equipment is in proper working order at all times.
  • Performing required QA testing to comply with MQSA, ACR, and State regulations.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and processing routine paperwork and data entry as needed.
  • Participating in professional development activities and maintaining affiliations with relevant professional organizations.
  • Preparing reports and data according to MQSA and State requirements.

We offer competitive compensation and benefits for the right candidate, including an estimated salary range of $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience.
