The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) seeks a seasoned healthcare executive to lead the state-run healthcare facilities. As the Executive Director, you will provide strategic direction and leadership to senior executives and administrators, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to senior executives and administrators of state-run healthcare facilities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of state-run healthcare facilities, ensuring they meet established standards and benchmarks.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Department of Public Health and Human Services and the senior leadership of the state-run healthcare facilities.
  • Ensure all facilities comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including healthcare laws and accreditation standards.
  • Work with the Board Chairperson and Executive Committee to enable the Boards, its committees, and individual board members to fulfill the Boards governance functions.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare administration, preferably within public sector healthcare facilities.
  • Proven track record of managing large, complex healthcare organizations and driving operational improvements.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, compliance standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management and resource allocation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills; with the ability to inspire and motivate senior leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
