Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing examination rooms, administering radiopharmaceuticals, positioning patients and equipment, and monitoring patients during examinations. You will also be responsible for producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to physicians, and updating patient records.

Responsibilities

* Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations
* Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images
* Positioning patients and equipment, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort
* Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences, and monitoring video displays to adjust density or contrast
* Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation
* Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to physicians, and updating patient records

Requirements

* BLS and ACLS certification
* National Institutes of Health certification
* Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) certification
* Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
* Ability to stand for extended periods
* Strong technical skills
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Passionate about patient care
* Minimum of two years of current Radiology Tech experience
* Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech program
* Active unencumbered Radiology Tech Wisconsin state license
* One year of Epic experience

* Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
* Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise
* A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital
* Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks
