We are seeking a seasoned Contract Surety Underwriter to join our team at Diedre Moire Corporation. As a Senior Surety Underwriter, you will play a key role in driving business growth and development by analyzing financial statements, assessing risk, and building strong relationships with contractors and industry partners.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced underwriter to leverage their expertise and build on our company's success. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in standard contract surety underwriting, with a proven track record of performing independent risk analyses and developing contractor client relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements to assess creditworthiness and identify potential risks
  • Assess risk associated with direct requests from construction companies, evaluating factors such as financial condition, credit history, experience, and character
  • Evaluate and develop proposals for new business opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and network connections
  • Maintain accurate underwriting documentation in adherence to company standards and industry regulations
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase visibility in the market and drive business growth
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., finance, accounting, or business administration)
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in contract surety underwriting, with a focus on risk analysis and business development
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with contractors and industry partners
