Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at University of Utah Health. This role is responsible for assisting with the management of the patient care department, coordinating staff development and education, and performing other duties to facilitate nursing care for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the management of the department, including input in performance evaluations, interviewing, hiring, and counseling employees.
  • Support and facilitate operational alignment with organization goals and strategies under the supervision of the Nurse Manager/department leadership.
  • Coordinate quality improvement initiatives and staff education and development programs.
  • Schedule department staff and investigate incident reports on patient care safety.
  • May function as a preceptor and serve as a resource to external contacts and hospital staff.
Requirements
  • Two years of general nursing experience.
  • Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah or obtain one within 90 days of hire under the interstate compact.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • One year of directly related experience in an area of specialty.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands

This position involves intensive work that may exert up to 100 pounds and may consistently require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, such as medical equipment, or patients while providing medical care.
