Role Summary

We are seeking an Advanced Machine Learning Data Scientist to join our Women's Health team at ŌURA. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and commercializing novel machine learning models and algorithms.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, biostatistics, computer science or a related field, OR a Master degree in related fields with 3+ years of relevant work experience. You will be expected to build and deploy machine learning pipelines and models for Women's Health features, work closely with a cross-functional team to commercialize new features, deliver robust statistical analyses of machine learning models and algorithms, and conduct early stage exploratory research to identify and characterize new potential health sensing features and functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and deploy machine learning pipelines and models for Women's Health features.
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team of scientists, product managers, software developers, product designers, test engineers, etc. to commercialize new features.
  • Deliver robust statistical analyses of machine learning models and algorithms for model performance evaluation, monitoring, and for drawing insights to support product decisions.
  • Conduct early stage exploratory research to identify and characterize new potential health sensing features and functionality.
Requirements
  • A PhD in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, biostatistics, computer science or a related field, OR a Master degree in related fields with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with multiple machine learning and statistical modeling approaches.
  • A strong understanding of probability and statistics.
  • Experience developing and validating time-series algorithms.
  • Self-driven, motivated, with a pragmatic can-do attitude and delivery-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
