About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geotechnical and Infrastructure Practice in Seattle, Wenatchee, Bellingham, or Bainbridge Island, WA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality geotechnical engineering services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute subsurface explorations, instrumentation, and laboratory testing of soils and rock.
  • Participate in geotechnical engineering analyses and design, including slope stability analyses, seismic evaluations, shallow and deep foundation design, ground improvement design, excavation and shoring evaluations, and other technical evaluations.
  • Assist in preparing strategic, tailored, and cutting-edge proposals and reports with a team of professionals.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams to share project information, objectives, and geotechnical engineering recommendations.
  • Conduct construction inspections of project elements to verify compliance with report and plan set recommendations.
Requirements
  • A degree in civil or geological engineering from an ABET accredited college or university with geotechnical engineering course work.
  • At least 2 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Professional engineering experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Field exploration and instrumentation experience related to subsurface explorations.
  • Training and/or education in the application of foundation engineering, slope stability, and seismic evaluation analyses.
  • Ability to work on teams and interface with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and travel long distances.
