Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Brown Medicine. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering medications.
  • Perform various clinical duties, such as drawing blood, preparing lab samples, and conducting basic medical procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence in patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a medical setting, preferably in a clinical or administrative role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
