Job Description

As a Detailing Specialist at Kahlig Auto Group, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for delivery to customers. This includes cleaning, refurbishing, and detailing the exterior and interior of the vehicles, as well as inspecting for imperfections and correcting any issues that are found.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and detail vehicles to a high standard, including the exterior, interior, underside, trunk area, and under hood
  • Install decals and emblems as required
  • Polish and wax vehicles as needed
  • Inform management of any imperfections or issues found during the detailing process
  • Retrieve vehicles from and return them to the shop or storage area
  • Ensure that the working area is kept clean and organized
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations regarding the disposal of hazardous wastes
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and suppliers
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Inspect the quality of work performed to ensure the highest standards are met

Qualifications:

  • Must meet the company's requirements for employment
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to provide quality customer service
  • Ability to operate an automobile, including automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and follow direction
  • Experience preferred, but training will be provided

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • Able to withstand inclement weather and elements while working outside and in the shop
  • Lift up to 30+ pounds
  • Able to stoop, kneel, crawl, reach, and handle parts and equipment
  • Able to work in an environment that is dusty and where various chemical compounds and paint are used
