Job Summary:

As a Team Leader at Primark, you will be responsible for motivating and coaching your team of Sales Associates to provide an exceptional store environment and customer experience, while optimizing sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team by providing 'in the moment' coaching and training on Primark ways of working with ongoing feedback.
  • Support the colleague experience, engaging Sales Associates in your team with an emphasis on recognition, communication, and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with the store management team to support the running of the store and develop a high-performing and engaged retail team.
  • Manage an allocated section of a department, supporting colleagues to create inspiring displays and managing daily task allocation to keep your team engaged.
  • Help other managers with the day-to-day running of the store.
  • Assist with recruitment, on-boarding, and development of Sales Associates while supporting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Manage the cash lanes and Fitting Room areas as needed.
  • Help with customer feedback and complaints.
  • Manage stock file accuracy and drive improved availability in-store with a consistent focus on size and option control to meet customer demand.
  • Manage all pricing in line with Primark Pricing Principles.

Requirements:

  • Excellent people skills to serve customers, lead the team, and build credible working relationships with all store colleagues.
  • Strong service focus with experience of delivering excellent customer experience while maintaining high store standards.
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of local selling patterns.
  • Ability to guide and support a team to achieve results.
  • Nimble and adaptable, being able to flex plans and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good planning and organizational skills, prioritizing and working within agreed timescales.
  • Experience supporting store management with the protection of people, property, and premises by securing cash, stock, and property.
  • Ability to effectively manage difficult situations and have good problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to provide instruction, coaching, and corrective action to team members.
