Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Architect to join our team at Capital One. As a key member of our Information Security Office, you will be responsible for providing guidance and oversight on cybersecurity initiatives, programs, and projects.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in cybersecurity or information technology and a deep understanding of strategic business objectives. They will also possess strong conceptual thinking and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a central point of contact for Information Security within the Enterprise Platform line of business
  • Coordinate and execute proactive consulting to the business and technology teams covering Infrastructure Security, Resiliency, Data Security, Network Architecture and Design, and User Access Management
  • Secure Design Solutioning and Risk Management on enterprise critical platforms standardizing core data and migrating customer accounts from legacy systems
  • Serve as an expert in Capital One's Information Security capabilities, solutions, policies, procedures, and standards
  • Influence customers to leverage security capabilities and solutions to shift and integrate security to the left in development processes
  • Escalate and manage cyber security risk
  • Provide ad hoc support on special Information Security hot topics for the business

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 4 years of experience working in cybersecurity or information technology
  • At least 4 years of experience providing guidance and oversight of cybersecurity concepts
  • At least 4 years of experience performing security risk assessments or security architecture reviews

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
