Heavy Duty Truck Driver

SA Recycling is a leading scrap metal recycler in the United States, with operations expanding rapidly. We are proud to support the military community.
As a Class A driver, you will operate tractor trailers and straight trucks, hauling 53-foot vans and containers, roll on/off containers, lugger boxes, high and low side-boxes, and flatbeds. You must wear a seatbelt at all times during operation.
Our drivers run local routes and are home each night. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting pre and post-trip inspections of vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Transporting and delivering materials from customer locations to SA Recycling facilities as directed by dispatch.
- Securing cargo for transport using chains, straps, binders, and/or tarps.
- Communicating safety or equipment issues with management.
- Operating safely on staging areas, parking surfaces, and roads.
- Maintaining logs of working hours and vehicle service and repair status.
- Using personal protective equipment as required.
Qualifications include:
- High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent work experience.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
- Minimum 21 years old.
- Passing a DOT physical and meeting FMCSR qualifications.
- Three plus years' experience driving and operating a tractor trailer or roll on/off required.
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
