Cybercrime Investigator

Job Summary

New York Eastern Probation Office is seeking a highly skilled Cybercrime Analyst to join our team. As a Cybercrime Analyst, you will play a critical role in investigating and analyzing cybercrime cases, identifying patterns and trends, and providing expert testimony in court.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science or Master's Degree in Computer Forensics or Information Technology and will be familiar with forensic software and various digital technologies. You will be responsible for:

• Conducting thorough investigations of cybercrime cases, including gathering and analyzing evidence
• Identifying and mitigating cyber threats, including malware and phishing attacks
• Providing expert testimony in court, including presenting findings and recommendations
• Collaborating with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to share intelligence and best practices

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor of Science or Master's Degree in Computer Forensics or Information Technology
• Familiarity with forensic software and various digital technologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
