The Role: Director of MDR

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Director of Managed Detection and Response (MDR) to lead our team in Dallas, TX OR San Jose, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic vision for MDR services while leading and mentoring a team of talented consulting analysts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for MDR services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of skilled consulting analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique security needs and tailor MDR solutions that effectively address their specific challenges.
  • Oversee incident response efforts, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security incidents while minimizing business impact.
  • Enhance SOC capabilities by implementing advanced detection and response technologies, processes, and training programs.
  • Stay abreast of emerging threats and industry trends, proactively adapting MDR services to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements through ongoing performance management and optimization initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing MDR services.
  • Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and hiring high-performing teams.
  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Experience leading IR and SOC functions within a security operations environment.
  • Deep understanding of MDR services, including industry standards and regulatory requirements.
