PET/CT Technologist

Under the general supervision of an authorized user, the PET/CT technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic procedures and carry out all related functions pertaining to PET/CT examinations. The technologist will collaborate with radiologists, physicists, and radiation safety to ensure all equipment, policies, and procedures adhere to ACR standards, manufacturer recommendations, and NYS Radiation Safety Guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:- AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
- NYS license/registration in Nuclear Medicine (must obtain within 6 months of limited permit)
- Registered with Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (must obtain within 1 year of appointment)
- One year experience as a radiologic technologist
- Current CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment
- BS in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- NYS License/Registration in Nuclear Medicine
- Registered with Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive technical experience
40 hours/week; Monday-Friday; Specific hours to be determined. Will be required to work weekends and holidays on a rotational basis. Overtime may be required based on departmental needs.
