About the Job
The Procurement Specialist is a dynamic role at Dukes A & W Enterprises LLC, responsible for acquiring goods and services to meet business needs. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring timely receipt and payment of goods, collaborating closely with accounting and sipping/receiving teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an efficient system for monitoring open purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
- Negotiate with vendors for the best prices, terms, and services, leveraging strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Research and select competitive sources for supplies, equipment, and services, analyzing vendor performance delivery, quality, cost, order quantities, and flexible payment terms.
- Process all incoming paperwork, confirming price and verifying quantities are accurate, with attention to detail and organizational skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or better preferred; High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years purchasing experience or similar, with excellent customer service and phone skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products (Word, Excel).
