Medical Technologist PRN Opportunity

Fairview Park Hospital, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a skilled Medical Technologist PRN to join our team. As a Medical Technologist PRN, you will play a vital role in providing accurate and timely laboratory results to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Job Summary

Our Medical Technologists are responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy. As a Medical Technologist PRN, you will work independently, exercising judgment and expertise to determine the acceptability of test results and take corrective action when necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including routine and specialized tests
  • Interpret test results and take corrective action when necessary
  • Exercise judgment and expertise to determine the acceptability of test results
  • Work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely results
Requirements

To be successful as a Medical Technologist PRN, you will need:

  • Current registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist by ASCP
  • BS in Medical Technology or Baccalaureate degree plus completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Technology program
  • Hospital laboratory experience preferred
