Electronic Health Records Application Specialist

Evergreen Family Medicine is seeking an Electronic Health Records Application Specialist to join our team. As an EHR Application Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of patient information, adhering to departmental standards and policies, and communicating effectively with coworkers, managers, and patients.
Responsibilities
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information according to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Adhere to departmental standards and policies, including state and federal regulations.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers, managers, and patients via phone, email, and in person.
• Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot all EHR issues.
Administrative Functions
• Perform administrative functions in EHR, including system configuration and maintenance, upgrades and modifications, and user management.
• Manage and keep practice bucket in EHR up to date.
• Analyze workflows and standardize processes and protocols.
• Map orders to CPT codes.
• Manage encounter layout.
• Manage/create provider profiles.
• Create departments.
Implementation and Integration
• Implement and integrate clinical applications, including EHR Telehealth, Dragon Medical One/Embedded, and other Market Place Partners.
• Provide training to new hires and releases.
EHR Reporting
• Generate clinical, utilization, quality, management, and financial reports.
• Create custom reports as needed.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of clinical experience, preferred.
• 2 years of office experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of computer and/or networking security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques.
• Communication, interpersonal, clerical, and organizational skills necessary to complete job duties.
• Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of the workplace.
Physical Requirements
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Frequent walking, use of hands and fingers, handling, or feeling, and reaching forward with hands and arms.
• Occasional sitting and stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Requires long hours of standing and moving.
• Must be able to lift up to pounds at times.
• This job requires some travel between multiple Evergreen locations.
