Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance Manager will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of public buildings, grounds, and equipment. This includes overseeing the work of outside vendors, managing physical plant maintenance, and ensuring that all systems are functioning properly.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the work of outside vendors to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Oversee physical plant maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Ensure that all systems are functioning properly and make recommendations for repair or correction
  • Manage inventory of parts and supplies for assigned buildings
  • Use computer maintenance management software for reporting, tracking, and completing work orders
  • Coordinate with Public Facilities finance staff to obtain funding approvals for services or building repair requests
  • Approve invoicing for services or building repairs performed prior to processing by Public Facilities finance staff
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent additional maintenance and repair training in specialized building trades
  • Three (3) years of experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, physical plant experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A valid Driver's License and access to reliable transportation
