Compliance Legal Expert

Reporting to the Vice President of Compliance, we seek a seasoned Sr. Compliance Counsel to spearhead our compliance efforts in North America. This key role ensures our operations align with relevant laws and internal policies.
About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced professional with strong legal acumen and business insight to lead our compliance initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying potential compliance vulnerabilities and developing corrective action plans to mitigate risks.
- Conducting internal investigations into sensitive matters such as fraud, theft, conflicts of interest, harassment, discrimination, and other issues.
- Assisting in creating Standard Operating Procedures to ensure the business serves as a first line of defense.
- Supporting policy creation, development, and maintenance in areas like the Code of Ethics, ABAC, AML, Privacy, User Charter, Social Media, Workplace Violence, and other related policies.
To succeed in this critical role, you will need:
- A Juris Doctorate degree and 7-10 years of compliance experience, preferably in a matrixed business environment.
- Prosecutorial experience at the Department of Justice is strongly preferred, along with expertise in data governance and management, privacy, internal investigations, anti-trust, anti-money laundering, and anti-bribery and corruption.
- A proven track record of strategic thinking, collaboration, and prioritization under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the business.
