About the Role

We are seeking a skilled RN Coordinator to join our Surgical Services team at Saint Vincent's Medical Center Riverside. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in coordinating surgical services activities and tasks in support of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the clinical patient care of surgical services, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Provide technical and functional support to staff, performing similar patient care duties as needed.
  • Assign, monitor, and review progress of work, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Monitor and report compliance with policies and procedures, maintaining a high level of quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate shift operations, including scheduling, assigned activities, and resources, to ensure efficient and effective use of time and personnel.
  • Evaluate and oversee orientation and training of assigned associates, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance, contributing to the development of a high-performing team.
  • Oversee utilization and maintenance of supplies, instruments, and equipment, ensuring they are properly stored, maintained, and replaced as needed.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Main OR experience strongly preferred.
  • General surgery/Robotics preferred.
