Role Summary

Haven Behavioral Hospital of Phoenix is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to provide exceptional care for patients with complex mental health issues.

About the Position

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, preferably with experience in acute psychiatric nursing.

Responsibilities
  • A comprehensive assessment of patients for risk of danger to self or others at time of admission and ongoing through hospitalization.
  • Appropriate intervention with patients experiencing behavioral crises situations.
  • Collaboration with the treatment team to implement individualized care plans.
  • Providing patient educational information for identified learning needs.
  • Facilitating educational/activity groups, recommending alternatives based on patient functioning level and treatment plan.
  • Supervising Behavioral Health Technicians and assuming the role of Charge Nurse when assigned.
Requirements

The successful candidate must have a graduate degree from an accredited nursing program. A minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a preference for one year in acute psychiatric settings.
