Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality System Engineer to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality System Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving defect reduction efforts, monitoring product performance metrics, and implementing corrective actions. You will also participate in internal and external audits, support calibration and receiving inspection initiatives, and serve as a quality liaison to various departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive defect reduction efforts for supplier, in-house, and process-related issues.
  • Monitor product performance metrics and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Support calibration, receiving inspection, and safety initiatives.
  • Serve as a quality liaison to various departments (Customer Support, Operations, Technical Services, Sales).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering or Chemistry preferred).
  • Minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience (aerospace chemicals, coatings, plastics, adhesives, or composites preferred).
  • 4-6 years of experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems.
  • Proficiency in Six-Sigma tools (Green Belt preferred), SPC, and chemical/mechanical testing.
  • ASQ certification preferred.
  • Experience in a unionized environment preferred.
