Key Responsibilities:

  • This position provides in-depth support of the company's Transport, Packet, and Management Networks and OSS functions.
  • Will have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within one of the functional areas of the organization identified in the Skill Discipline Matrix below.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement all components, equipment, and software within the functional area of the organization.
  • Performs administrative work relating to projects and assignments.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in network engineering, network administration, or network support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 4-6 years professional level experience.
  • CCIE/CCIE Service Provider, CCNP/CCNP Service Provider, CCNA, MEF-SNCP, MEF-CECP, MEF-SDCP, CISSP, CISA, or Security (CompTIA) preferred.
  • 4-6 years deploying and managing OSS systems, network operations, or engineering environment or related job.
  • Understanding of either the Data, OSS, or Transport disciplines in the Skill Matrix.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be detail oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have effective interpersonal skills to interact successfully with customers, management, and team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Must be able to prioritize and re-prioritize as needed, in a fast-paced working environment, especially when dealing with time-sensitive issues and mandated deadlines.
