Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Mostly adults, very rare children.
Position Overview:
Henry Ford Health System is seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our specialized neuroendovascular team at our Level 1 Trauma Comprehensive Stroke Center.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background in neuroendovascular procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
We offer a competitive salary package commensurate with experience.Responsibilities include:
- Obtaining patient history and performing assessment.
- Ordering, performing and interpreting diagnostic procedures.
- Providing and documenting direct treatment and management of health conditions.
- Providing counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
- Performing preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.
Preferred qualifications include:
- NP - Completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)
- PA - Completion of a Physician Assistant training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
- NP - Certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan
- PA - Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Additional requirements include:
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan, or in process of applying (must have proof of application)
- National certification as an NP or PA (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- DEA/CSL, required through credentialing.
Experience in ICU or ED settings is preferred, as well as EPIC experience.
