Support Specialist

At Unified Community Connections, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team. As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to adults with developmental disabilities, helping them develop their independent living skills and participate in leisure and recreational activities.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and participating in recreational activities, transporting individuals within the community, maintaining and cleaning the residence, preparing meals, and managing overall health, including medications and medical appointments. You will also be required to document your work as progress notes in an electronic records system.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, a valid Driver's License with no restrictions, and a Motor Vehicle Record with 2 or less points, with no driving restrictions or DUI violations in the last 7 years. You must also be able to lift 50 Lbs. unassisted and have demonstrated ability to communicate (verbally and written) in English with individuals, medical professionals, and co-workers.

Shifts Available:
We offer a range of shifts, including Monday to Friday - Morning, Evening, and Night Shifts, Saturday and Sunday - Morning, Evening, and Night Shifts, and Overnight shifts. All shifts require staff to be alert, active, and available.
