About the Role

Sweetser is seeking a skilled Crisis Clinician to provide high-quality, client-centered care to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals admitted to the Crisis Stabilization Unit, identifying key areas of need and developing effective treatment plans.
  • Provide short-term therapy and counseling services, monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Coordinate care with internal and external providers, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Lead clinical supervision and training sessions for direct care staff, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive discharge and aftercare plans, ensuring a smooth transition back to the community.
  • Transport clients as needed, prioritizing their safety and well-being.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client progress, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in treatment team and service planning meetings, contributing to collaborative decision-making and goal-setting.
  • Provide coverage to the milieu as needed, supporting the overall functioning of the Crisis Stabilization Unit.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in social work, psychology, clinical counseling, or a comparable mental health program.
  • LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT, Independent License preferred, conditional licensure considered.
  • Maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • Minimum of two years relevant experience, with a strong background in crisis intervention and mental health services.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Persons with lived experience in the Mental Health and/or Substance Abuse system are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of Motivational Interviewing and Peer Support principles, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
