Cunningham Children's Home offers a unique opportunity for an experienced Direct Care Staff to join our Transitional Living program, supporting young individuals in their transition to adulthood.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to work every Saturday from 8a.m.-11p.m. and every Sunday from 8am.-11p.m., providing guidance and support to participants with the goal of launching them to independence or transitioning them to an independent living program.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to program participants, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each participant, ensuring their safe and successful transition to independence
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of participant progress, collaborating with the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working in a therapeutic setting preferred
  • At least 25 years old required
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License required with proof of auto insurance

Applicants must possess excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and self-discipline, with the ability to prioritize multiple demands and maintain a high level of organization. Successful candidates will appreciate the importance of documentation, confidentiality, and teamwork, with a strong desire to contribute to the growth and development of program participants.
